Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, is embodied in these gorgeous sterling silver, orchid, and ruby earrings.
Aphrodite's beauty was of such high regard that it could spark a war between the Gods. She was believed to hold the power of fertility and eternal youth, along with her extraordinary beauty. Additionally, Aphrodite was widely worshipped as a goddess of the sea and of seafaring; and she was also honored as a goddess of war.
These earrings were made by hand sawing out 3 separate layers of petals from a sheet of sterling silver. The petals were then shaped and formed before being soldered together.
A post was soldered to each and they come with heavy weight friction backs for added security.
Each orchid is 10cm tall with a tiny ruby drop dangle.
